An investor is an foreign national who:

has business experience;
has a legally obtained net worth of at least $800,000;
indicates in writing to an officer that they intend to or have made an investment of CDN $400,000.

The objective of this program is to promote economic development

and employment by attracting people with capital,business acumen and

entrepreneurial skills for Canadian market.

Investors must have successfully operated, controlled or directed a

business and must have a net worth, accumulated by their own endeavors, of

at least CAD $800,000. They must also have made a minimum investment in an

approved fund or business since the date of their application.
